In 1971, Curtis Springer started his career in the restaurant business at the age of 16. From that point on he has worked for countless restaurants as a Server, General Manager, and a Director of Operations. Curtis received Manager of the Year from the Southern California Restaurant Writer’s Association in 2001 while working for Mr. Stox Restaurant, a five star fine dining establishment. While working at Mr. Stox, Curtis was in charge of a 26,000 bottle wine cellar with over 1,500 selections to choose from. Mr. Stox Restaurant then became featured as a Grand Award Winner in Wine Spectator Magazine. That’s where he fell in love with the art of wine. Mr. Stox decided to close its doors in 2013 because the owners retired. Curtis was looking for new opportunities when his niece suggested that he should create a business where he worked with what he loved: delicious wine and gourmet food.
Jill Springer, President of Aartisan Grapes and Curtis’ wife, has joined in his love for food and wine. She has over 30 years of experience in art and design and a Fine Arts Degree from California State University in Long Beach. Her education and design experience make her gift baskets among the most beautiful and interesting.
April Springer, Financial Officer and their daughter, just recently discovered her love of wine. She is working on her acting career and is presently employed as a Front Desk Clerk at Disneyland Hotels. She is managing all financial aspects of Aartisan Grapes and is creating wonderful baskets with her mother.
Now two years later, Aartisan Grapes was created in the hopes to provide the best wine and wonderful gift baskets always personalized to fit your specific needs.
